1949 Part 2

“OK! OK! Enough of all this high theological stuff! Can we get back to Peggy and Christine in the Isle of Lewis? What was this gift they had that was so special”

"The great gift they had was they were accustomed to recognising God’s voice when He spoke and the reverence to obey exactly and in simplicity what He told them"

"This is exciting: God spoke to them. What did He tell them do?"

"He impressed on them the need for a new presence of God on the island. A presence that would invade every heart and every gathering: A presence that would disrupt all human normality and replace it with HIM. A presence that would destroy sin, not by law but by His awesome presence:
He called them to seek him in prayer and that they did. Every Tuesday and Thursday night from 10 pm  for 5 hours.

“See. I knew it: They were the women who brought the revival”
“Not too fast now: There were 7 men also praying at the same time. They were in the Free Church Of Scotland and their hearts were broken at the sad state of the church. Dead sermons, dry prayer .. a form of Godliness but no power to change lives”

“I never heard of these 7 men: Are you sure? Doesn’t sound near as romantic as Peggy & Christine”

“Romantic or not they met 3 times a week and after 5 months God spoke to them at exactly the same time as He spoke to the sisters”

“But how could God speak? Did He use a loudspeaker? I know God made the world and all that is in it but I never realised God could speak”

“Who do you think made the tongue? Who made the voice and languages? God spoke all right!
Suddenly the little barn where the men prayed was filled with the glory of God. At the same time the cottage of Peggy & Christine was also flooded with glory”.

“Wait! I know the end. The revival began next day and swept over the island! Right?”

“Wrong: But you’re on the right track: God told the sisters that His glory would fall in two weeks and to send for a man called Duncan Campbell”

“Who was Duncan Campbell? Was he from the God channel? Ha ha?”

“Don’t be glib: Duncan was a praying man who knew the Word and though reluctant to come he eventually did and after a series of dry empty useless meetings God showed up at 3 am one morning and that was that”

“So everybody just came to evening meetings and got saved?”

“Actually most got saved outside of that building: In pubs, barns on the roadside in hay fields. On one occasion 600 people were making their way to the building when the spirit of God fell on them: They lay on the ground for ages crying out to God for mercy”

“Hope someone said the prayer of salvation with them”

“Nope: They just left them with their God until all issues were settled. Many lay weeping and crying out to God for hours.”

“That was so cruel: Leaving them alone and worried. In our church nobody is treated like that”

“Not nearly as cruel as convincing the unconverted that they are saved: If ever you experience revival it won’t be just the same old same old: You will never ever ever be the same again: Changed for ever and even generations after you will be effected .......

“What do you mean "generations after you"?”

“Peggy and Christine’s niece Mary Anne McLeod was born and brought up on the Hebridean island of Lewis but emigrated to New York to live a very different life. She was born in 1912 in Tong about 3 miles from the main town on Lewis. She first left Lewis for New York in 1930, at the age of 18, to seek work as a domestic servant.

“What on earth has this to do with anything?”

“ Six years later she was married to successful property developer Frederick Trump, the son of German migrants and one of the most eligible men in New York. The fourth of their five children, Donald John, as he is referred to on the islands, is now president of the USA"

“Wow! So Trump is a believer! There’s going to be worldwide revival! Wow!”

“None of that follows: He may not even be converted! All we can say is he is under the impact of generations of prayer and may well be used of God (as a believer or unbeliever) to slow down the inevitable rush to the end

Wake Up Out Of That Drowsiness And .... {Eph 5:14}

Part 1 of 3 Part Series On The Prelude To The  Last 7 Years!

We  are now in the run in to the last 7 years of this wicked Eon. An Eon is a period of time, of varying length,  but differs from eternity in that it has a definite beginning and a definite end. The Word for Eternity (Aidios) is only used twice in the whole of the New Testament. Eon is used in all other cases. The last 2 Eons ended in catastrophe and this one, Eon number 3 (Gal 4:4)  will  also end with amazing turmoil  at the coming of our lord Jesus. There are 2 future Eons before we can speak of eternity.! The 1000 year Kingdom followed by The New Heaven & New Earth:

"Isaiah 17 has yet to be fulfilled and may well be
the next major event on the prophetic calendar"     {2018?}

Chapter 17: Verse 1 --4

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts.
And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

Kuwait to Pass Law to “DNA Tag” Everyone Like Cattle, Including All Touri

While it sounds like an Orwellian nightmare, the reality is this is slowly creeping up on us everywhere. Central banks are going to start requiring biometrics for identification, for your security they say. Japan has already announced that all tourists will be required to use their fingerprints as currency while in the country. India has forced biometric IDs on its entire population. In fact, the United Nations is pushing for universal biometric ID cards for every single man, woman, and child on the planet
In the first law of its kind anywhere in the world, Kuwait has decided it will not only “DNA tag” everyone presently in the country as part of a new “integrated security database,” but all tourists will be required to submit a DNA test before they can even enter the country.
Facilities for blood and saliva collection will be set up at the Kuwait International Airport, and there will be “consequences of rejecting” these procedures which the Kuwaiti government says it is putting in place in order to track everyone just in case someone commits a crime.

MasterCard, Zwipe announce fingerprint-sensor card

On Friday, MasterCard and Oslo, Norway-based Zwipe announced the launch of a contactless payment card featuring an integrated fingerprint sensor. Say goodbye to PINs. This card, they said, is the world’s first contactless payment card featuring an integrated fingerprint sensor. PC Mag noted the simplicity of the card procedure: hold your thumb against the fingerprint ID on your credit card and wave it over a contactless payment station. When your transaction goes through, the machine beeps. PC Mag said the card is scheduled for next year. “Our belief is that we should be able to identify ourselves without having to use passwords or PIN numbers. Biometric authentication can help us achieve this,” said Ajay Bhalla, president of enterprise safety and security at MasterCard. Bhalla is no stranger to contactless technology and what it could mean for MasterCard. He led the early rollout of MasterCard’s PayPass contactless technology in 14 Asian markets and established partnerships, one of which enabled commuters to make contactless MasterCard payments on Singapore’s public transport network. Last month, he remarked on the future of biometric payments, saying “the idea of running out for some milk, walking into a store and using your thumb print to make the purchase has sounded futuristic, even if the technology has been in place for a while.” He added, “We have already had great success in Africa, with financial inclusion projects which use biometrics to identify millions of cardholders.”
